Intensive Lifeskills

This 12 week workshop is an intensive focus on lifeskills development.  Delivered using creative, engaging and entertaining activities.  Join this curriculum based series of classes to learn important life skills and meet new friends in a fun and supportive environment.

Learn

Personal and community skills, time recognition, reading and writing, money management, personal hygiene, self advocacy, tech skills and more!

Experience

A supportive and inclusive environment with trained and professional staff.  COVID-19 safe guards in place.

Practice

Building confidence and competence.  Ongoing use of new skills and concepts will be reinforced throughout the duration of this workshop series.

Work Readiness

Prepare yourself for paid or volunteer work by becoming work ready! Explore options through activities and discussion. Develop skills through role playing and learn using interactive strategies. This is a 1X per week workshop for 8 weeks.

Explore

Through discussions, activities and reflection learn more about yourself and the many possibilities for your future.  During this 4 week workshop explore your:

  • dreams
  • strength
  • goals
  • careers

Develop

Work on skills to help you make your volunteer or work placement dreams a reality.  Mentoring, activities, role playing and more will help develop your:

  • resume writing
  • interview skills
  • self-advocacy
  • self-determination

Learn

Using creative and interactive strategies you can increase your job readiness by knowing more about how to get a job and keep it!  Increase your employment success by learning about:

  • job seeking
  • work sills
  • work safety
  • employment tools

Interview to Impress

This 4 week workshop will teach the essential interviews skills needed and allow participants to experience realistic interview scenarios. Test, practice and receive feedback in this activity based workshop.

Who is it for?

 Individuals who can follow COVID-19 guidelines, such as wearing a mask or shield and maintain a 6-foot physical distance with reminders.  Also, those who are independent in the washroom and who don’t have aggressive or running away behaviors.
